Landscape Squares

My work is about personal geography and place.  I don’t think my way there.  It is an intuitive process, working with color, light and texture to create what is called abstract imagery but feels like a place or a moment in time to me.

The motion of the hand and arm, the journey on which this action takes the mind. One hour a day for seven days, hundreds and hundreds of cards.

All are ink and gouache on 4 x 6” paper mounted on illustration board, displayed on 38” x 1.5 x 1.5” unfinished poplar hanging shelves
